Hello, I'm Deanna Hellinger, the founder of Archie & Friends Pet Care, LLC. Thank you for taking the time to be here! To me, exceptional pet care isn't a one-size-fits-all service. It is about understanding who your pet is as an individual and tailoring their day to exactly what makes them feel comfortable, secure, and right at home. Every animal has a unique personality and routine that makes them feel safe, and my mission is to honor that every time I step through your door.

For my own dog, Archie, that perfect routine looks a certain way. As Archie’s human, I know firsthand that the best day for a high-energy dog is an active one. I love nothing more than seeing him tuckered out and completely content after a long hike or a big play session. That deep, peaceful sleep is proof of a day well-lived. That’s why a large part of my approach focuses on giving your companions the physical enrichment they crave, ensuring they return to their favorite spot at home feeling safe, satisfied, and ready for sweet dreams.

Whether your best friend needs a rugged trail adventure to burn off steam, a gentle neighborhood stroll, or some quiet, cozy companionship in their own home—we adapt completely to their pace. Deanna Hellinger

Owner/Professional Pet Care Provider

Meet Deanna! Deanna worked as an Environmental Scientist before leaving her corporate job to focus on Archie & Friends Pet Care, LLC. She operated on the Rover platform for 5 years before deciding to pursue her own business. Deanna grew up in a household of 3 large dogs and 1 cat and has worked with the Human Society of Catawba Valley and The Great Pyrenees Rescue of Western NC. Deanna enjoys spending time outdoors and time with her dog, Archie.

Archie Hellinger

Co-Owner & Inspiration

Say hello to Archie! Archie is a Great Pyrenees/Black Lab/Blue Lacy mix. Archie was born in Texas and was mysteriously separated from his family at about 6 months of age. He soon found himself at a horse rescue where he was adopted by his mom (Deanna). Archie loves chasing squirrels, long walks, barking at dogs who ignore him, and destroying stuffed animals.

Jen & Mitch Keyes

Meet Jen and Mitch, a vibrant, newly retired couple in the Lake Norman area who have traded corporate careers for their true passion: professional pet sitting!

Combining Mitch’s background in tech and operations management with Jen’s sharp professional dedication, they bring a high level of reliability, problem-solving, and trustworthiness to every home. They don't just "feed and walk" your pets—they truly connect with them, offering tailored companionship, patience, and warmth.

When they aren't treating clients' pets like royalty, they are traveling, enjoying the North Carolina outdoors, or spoiling their own grand-puppy.
